The Ring Boxing Club
The Ring Boxing Club
THE RING TODAY The Ring is still alive and well today. The high-quality merchandise on our site honours the excellence and incredible history of The Ring, but that’s not all. In fact, you can still get a quality pint in The Ring Public House which sits on the Blackfriars Road, just across from the original venue. If you fancy something a little more energetic you might want to visit The Ring’s 21st Century incarnation, The Ring Boxing Club, one minute from the original site. Gone is the spit and sawdust, replaced by what is often referred to as Central London’s best equipped boxing gym. Opened in 2003 by professional boxing promoter Mark ‘The Burf’ Burford, The Ring is a world-class boxing gym, with its own team of professional fighters, as well as hoards of fitness enthusiasts who benefit from the high-level boxing coaches who operate there. The pictures on its walls respectfully pay homage to the great fighters who boxed less than 100 yards away. Over one hundred years of history, from ‘Burge’ to ‘Burf’, the legend that is The Ring Boxing Club established in 1910 continues to live on... continues to breathe... and continues to FIGHT!
